Restricted Access
In order to protect children from potential exposure to unnecessary germs, only operational staff, persons with legal authority to enter (ie. law enforcement), Licensing staff, Department of Family and Protective Services staff, professionals providing services to children, and children enrolled at the operation are allowed to enter. Parents should only enter when necessary, such as in the event of a medical emergency.
Protective Face Masks
Adults: Employees must wear protective face masks when they are with children and whenever social distancing is not possible.
Parents are asked to wear face masks while dropping off or picking up their children.
Children: It is not recommended for children who are younger than 2 years old to wear masks
in a child care setting. Children who are older than 2 years old may wear a face mask if they are willing to do so, and if the family provides the protective face covering. However, children will not be allowed to wear masks during naptime, mealtime, or snack time. Masks must be cleaned daily at home.
Morning Drop Off Procedures
Times for Morning Drop Off:
Morning drop off is from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the circle driveway in front of Concordia’s Child Care Center - Building D. Families will be given two window signs to help identify your vehicle. Please display this sign in your front window when dropping off your child.
Please make every effort to arrive during this two-hour window. We are well staffed at this time and equipped to receive children and greet families. Families who arrive late may experience a delay in drop off because we are attending to the needs of the Child Care Center. Children who are dropped off after 9:00 a.m. must bring their own non-perishable lunch. (We submit our attendance to the Cafeteria Director by 9:00 a.m. Children who arrive late are not included in the lunch count.)
If your child has a medical appointment that prevents drop off before 9:00 a.m., please contact the Child Care Center a day ahead to discuss accommodations.
Health and Safety Screenings: Everyone in the car will be screened for health and safety, including temperature checks. In order to protect the well-being of our staff, we ask that parents wear protective face masks at drop off . Once the family has been screened, parents then help their children out of the car and out of car seats. A staff member will help each of the children ages two years and older to sanitize their hands before they enter the building. The children are then walked to class where they will wash their hands before joining the room. Teachers sign in children as they enter.
Afternoon Pick Up Procedures
Afternoon pickup for children is anytime from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the circle driveway in front of the Child Care Center- Building D .
