ABOUT
Our center serves children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. The center is open from 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, year-round. A holiday calendar is published annually noting closure dates. Our child care center is part of the ministry of Concordia Church | School | Child Care, and it is our mission to enrich the quality of family life, enhance the life experiences of children, and to share the love God has for us with one another through a Christ-centered program.
CURRICULUM
Our full-time curriculum coordinator collaborates with teachers to develop a well-rounded educational program. Lessons promote spiritual, social and emotional, fine and gross motor, and cognitive development. Our thematic units and age-appropriate lessons emphasize hands-on, engaged, and experiential learning. In addition to our individual classroom settings, we have a unique Learning Zone area where children explore a range of student-choice activities. We encourage student curiosity and individualized learning goals. We also incorporate Spanish language instruction.
Concordia Child Care Center endeavors to nurture the spiritual growth of the young child through songs, loving care, and witness. Teachers in the 6-weeks to 18 months classrooms use The Blessing Place curriculum to guide the faith development of their children. Children 18 months and up have a daily Jesus time where they learn of Jesus' love and His plan of salvation for them through Bible stories and activities as suggested by the religion curriculum produced by our denomination. Threes and Fours will also participate in a weekly chapel outside of the Center hosted by Concordia's Church and School.
We offer Biblically-based faith lessons integrated throughout the day using a variety of age-appropriate instructional resources. We also participate in live, weekly chapel worship for all ages.
